    Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 93 ~ “The 2009 Brut Vintage blends 60 percent Pinot Noir and 40 percent Chardonnay from 20 grand and premier cru villages in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Fermented in stainless steel with each variety and each village kept separate and malolactic completed, the 2009 aged eight years in the cellars before being hand-riddled and disgorged. Disgorged in October 2017 and tasted in June 2018, the 2009 shows an intense, concentrated, pretty vinous and profound bouquet of ripe fruit, chalk, brioche and nutty/almond notes. Full-bodied and rich but fresh and even refined on the palate, this is a very elegant, round, charming yet well-structured and vinous Vintage Brut with a clear, fresh, structured and remarkably persistent finish. It drinks already very well today, but its aging potential is most probably stunning.”

    Tasting Notes ~ The 2013 l'Identité Blanc de Blanc sees over three years lees aging leading to an incredibly fine and delicate bubble structure. Chalky minerality and citrus dominate the palate. The fruit (100 percent Chardonnay) is sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in the villages of Cramant and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the latter of which is home to the famous Blanc de Blancs, Salon.

    Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 97 ~ Created in 1988 as a tribute to one of the house’s founders, Elisabeth Salmon, Billecart-Salmon's iconic 2007 Millésime Brut Rosé Cuvée Elisabeth displays a beautifully radiant, shimmering orange-salmon color. The bouquet of this Pinot Noir/Chardonnay blend is as intense as it is delicate and vinous, displaying red and yellow-fleshed fruit intertwined with floral, chalky and citrus notes as well as a noble sur lie character. Round, lush and delicate on the palate, this is a highly elegant, charming, beautifully balanced rosé with great finesse and amazingly fine grip on the long yet pure, tensioned, well-structured and stimulatingly salty finish. This rosé Champagne is close to perfection! A small percentage of the Pinot Noir—from old vines in the south-facing Valofroy parcel in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ—was vinified as red wine and added to give this unique color and vinosity. The other Pinots are sourced in the grand crus Verzenay and Aÿ, and the Chardonnay comes from grand crus in the Côte des Blancs, namely Chouilly, Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger.
