2018 Meinklang Burgenland Red$20.00Tasting Notes ~ Austrian Beaujolais? Sure tastes like it. Bright and juicy, with a spine of minerality (and great with a chill) and finishes completely dry. A blend of 60 percent Zweigelt, 30 percent Blaufrankisch, and 1 percent St. Laurent that has all been grown biodynamically grown. Spontaneous, semi-carbonic fermentation in stainless steel (Natural Wine!) that then spends 6 months in stainless steel tank to rest before bottling, unfiltered and unfined.
2016 Moric Blaufränkisch$37.00Tasting Notes ~ An earthy yet playful middleweight red from Austria with complexity and enjoyability at the forefront of a well balanced and varietally correct wine. A great pairing for lamb, duck or mushroom dishes.
