  • 2020 Broc Cellars ‘Love’ Rosé

Tasting Notes ~ Chris Brockaway makes a wide range of California wine but the common denominators are that they must be made without additives (other than a small amount of SO2 as necessary), always fermented with indigenous yeasts, using grapes from vineyards that do not use synthetic chemicals. A blend of 85 percent Valdiguié, 14 percent Zinfandel, and 1 percent Trousseau - the fruit was foot stomped and left on the skins for 12 hours. Pressed into stainless steel tank where all three varieties fermented together just over 18-21 days. Spice comes from the Zinfandel, acidity from the Valdiguié and texture from the Trousseau. This is a 100% finished wine, meaning it fermented until it went dry using only native yeasts and went through spontaneous malolactic fermentation. 1,800 cases produced. Limited availability.

  • 2019 Dyckerhoff Reuilly Petit Gris Rosé

Tasting Notes ~ Domaine Dyckerhoff consists of 7 hectares in Reuilly in the central Loire near Bourges, about an hour west of the region of Sancerre. The allowed varieties of Reuilly are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The Pinot Gris is only allowed for rosé, resulting in a wine with the slightly pink tint and rich texture, it’s more than just a dry rosé. The wines of Reuilly are pleasurable and easy to drink, a racy, cool-climate style that is sure to please, and can be great alternatives to Sancerre in terms of value. Pale salmon color, fruit forward nose, great length and freshness in the palate with flavors of wild strawberries, peach skin and mineral.

  • 2018 Antica Terra ‘Angelicall’ Rosé

Tasting Notes ~ Translucent and ruby-hued, it shows astonishing, almost brooding concentration and insanely intense aromatics, evoking pastoral images of the forest—salmon berries still on the vine, underbrush and tatty climbing roses. On the palate, silky layers of rhubarb, tart pie cherries, hibiscus and spice.

  • 2018 Prieuré de Montézargues Tavel Rosé

    WS 90
Tasting Notes ~ Tavel is the only all-Rose appellation in the Rhone of France. Said to be the only Rose that can actually age (and improve with age). It has been a favorite among royalty since the 18th century - said to be Lous XIV favorite style of wine. Tavel Rose is always dry with fleshy, round body structures (much like a light red wine) and blanched by acidity. Chateau La Nerthe is comprised of mostly of Grenache and Grenache Blanc as well as Syrah, Clairette, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Bourboulenc all hand harvested from the Estate vineyards that are certified organic. This vivid pink Tavel is extremely aromatic. The nose is complex with blood oranges and graphites notes enhanced with raspberry and peach character. The palate is juicy, with a chalky-mineral acidity and a bright and energetic finish.
