    Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 94: The prestigious 2006 La Grande Dame is made from 47 percent Chardonnay and 53 percent Pinot Noir, and assembles the fruit of eight grand cru villages. Very intense and complex on the nose, this is a full-bodied, round, rich and mouth-filling, but also refined prestige cuvée; it reveals a fascinating purity, precision and freshness. The finish is long and complex, and shows a spicy minerality. There are coffee beans, bread and toast aromas in the aftertaste. This comes highly recommended.

    Vinous 94: A rich, sumptuous wine, the NV Fût de Chêne Rosé captures the essence of the Giraud house style. Rich, flamboyant and exotic, it possesses remarkable depth and textural resonance. Two years after its disgorgement, it is starting to show the first signs of aromatic development. I expect it will have a shorter maturation curve than some of the other wines in this range, but it is also exceptionally polished and expressive today. This release is 70 percent Pinot Noir and 30 percent Chardonnay, with 8 percent still Pinot. Dosage is 7.5 grams per liter. Disgorged January 2015.

Cruse wines are a cult favorite and a must have for the bubble affascinato - hand crafted, small production, and super allocated Champagne Method sparkling wine form California. Comprised of 54 percent Pinot Noir, 46 percent Chardonnay with 94 percent from the 2017 vintage and the remainder from their perpetual reserve. The vineyards used are Alder Springs, Rorick Vineyard, Keefer Ranch, and a small amount of fruit from Charlie Heintz. Cruse Tradition is a brut zero sparkler with only a small amount of sulfur added at disgorging. Golden, honeyed nose of toasted hazelnuts, pastry cream, and fresh pears. Gentle, soft mousse with a palate of white flowers, beeswax, and citrus. Long, pastry finish.

    Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 90: This is a fabulous version of Ruinart’s NV Brut Blanc de Blancs. The wine seems fresher, more vibrant and less obviously sweet than in the past, all of which makes this a far more interesting wine. The trademark profile of lemon, jasmine and green apples is very much in the forefront while the wine’s textural finesse and length are both first-class. This release of the NV Brut makes a great introduction to the wines of Ruinart, Champagne’s oldest house.
    James Suckling 93: A very appealing and satisfying style that fully captures the elegance and poise of chardonnay. The aromas here are all based around lemons, grapefruit, honey, fresh floral notes, stone fruits and toasty autolysis – which is somewhat of a signature for this Champagne. The palate delivers a ripe, flavorsome impression of peach custard and lemon crème brûlée. The acidity is nicely placed and the the finish upbeat with vibrant fruit expression.
    Wine Enthusiast 92: Ruinart is a Chardonnay house, so this wine can be considered one of its signature cuvées. With some bottle age, it is crisp while also toasty with secondary flavors that are balancing the apple and citrus fruits. The wine is well balanced, the soft aftertaste still in keeping with its crisper, textured flavors.

    Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 97: Created in 1988 as a tribute to one of the house’s founders, Elisabeth Salmon, Billecart-Salmon's iconic 2007 Millésime Brut Rosé Cuvée Elisabeth displays a beautifully radiant, shimmering orange-salmon color. The bouquet of this Pinot Noir/Chardonnay blend is as intense as it is delicate and vinous, displaying red and yellow-fleshed fruit intertwined with floral, chalky and citrus notes as well as a noble sur lie character. Round, lush and delicate on the palate, this is a highly elegant, charming, beautifully balanced rosé with great finesse and amazingly fine grip on the long yet pure, tensioned, well-structured and stimulatingly salty finish. This rosé Champagne is close to perfection! A small percentage of the Pinot Noir—from old vines in the south-facing Valofroy parcel in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ—was vinified as red wine and added to give this unique color and vinosity. Definitely a lot of reserve wine character here. The palate delivers lemons, grapefruit, peaches and mangoes in a refreshingly pure, fleshy style. The bright acidity, handy balance and tannins smoothly frame the finish.
    Wine Enthusiast 90: This is a well-balanced, ripe wine in the producer's rich house style. A brighter, more mineral crispness and acidity also come through strongly in this bottling. The aftertaste brings together a mineral texture and full yellow and apple fruits.
    Decanter 91: Pol is always a great Champagne to serve to your guests: a classy, balanced expression of the three grape varieties allowed by law. It has plenty of rich apple fruit along with a streak of lemon zest and just a hint of juicy tangerine. The palate is round but fresh, and has a long, steely finish which leaves you wanting another sip.
